John D. Duncan

Rev. Dr, John Duncan 

The Rev. Dr. Duncan holds a B.A. from Howard Payne University, a Master of Divinity Degree and Doctor of Ministry Degree from Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree from the Open University, Cambridge, England.

He was ordained to the Ministry by the First Baptist Church of Hurst, Texas on August 9, 1981. Dr. Duncan served as the Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, Henderson, Texas from 1985-1987. He then served as Pastor of the Lakeside Baptist Church, Granbury, Texas from 1987 to 2007 and the First Baptist Church, Georgetown, Texas from 2007 – 2013. He has also been an adjunct professor at the George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor University and the Hong Kong Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Duncan began his term as Co-Pastor at the Church at Horseshoe Bay in July of 2017.
